"I paint to record glimpses of my ordinary day that stand out to me as extraordinary and share them with others to elicit an emotional response. Each painting or drawing is an experience for me and a progression in my creativity: having an idea or being struck by a venue or scene, working through my thoughts on how best to convey what I feel, creating space, capturing energy and letting the art take on a life of its own. That process and making a connection with others is what resonates with me and helps me continue on my journey."
